The painting “Red Curtains” will be part of the upcoming exhibition “Por La Libre 2”
This 75 artist collective show will open at Museo de las Americas in Old San Juan on Thursday, April 9th, 2015 at 6:00pm. If you happen to be in Puerto Rico for this date you are most welcome to visit and enjoy the extraordinary “Por la Libre (loosely translated as: ‘no holds barred’ or ‘anything goes’) 2” expo which is dedicated to the Puerto Rican artist Carlos Irizarry.
Inspired by the painting “Red Curtains” and two recent dreams, I have included my most recent poem. I Hope you enjoy it.
Misty Reddish Secret Darkness or Pearly Gobbets Feminine
∗
Succumb to the delight,
being anxious forthright,
allow me the rest in beauty,
of hidden dreams neath shadows flowing,
relaxing angles, curves returning,
ribs slightly circle,
receiving silent applause,
caves in heaviness, your joints enjoining,
the invisible possessing,
entrapping nocturnal flight.
∗
Succulent textured colored torso,
multi-breathing agile spirit,
of reddish curtain mystery,
fetch me misty current refuge.
∗
Rose soles for blue shoes
where ever under cover?
A lace with a different eye,
all over and boxes galore,
unable to find my size.
Embrace my foot with a hand of prayer,
to the myth and the reason,
of imagination and illusion,
wrapping states confusion,
of stairway riddle trappings,
ladders abound creeping,
crawling up swerving,
rising down, no time!
∗
A maze worth entering,
unfolding, recurring trickery,
must be another string,
now to find out!
From the deepness Ariadne sings.
∗
Pearly gobbets feminine,
a baffling creadora,
nine month androgynous library,
maestra of the flora,
of matter or materia,
of energetic interventions,
of mystic possibilities,
of possible perceptions,
of wave particle and back,
of venusian jewels of morn.
And strangling the choice, behold!
Existence of illusion borne.
The painting framed and almost ready to be delivered to Museo de Las Americas.
